Coordinated communication among other section editors, slot editors, copy editors and more than 25 writers. Found and assigned news stories to writers. Edited stories for AP style and accuracy.  Work in office on biweekly production of the paper, which included choosing layout of stories and writing headlines, cutlines, etc. Ensured that all deadlines were met. Previously, as a staff writer, wrote stories and took photographs for publication.

Winter Park, Fla. August – December 2009
Edited copy and formatted HTML in Adobe Dreamweaver and used in-house CMS to post content to the website. Optimized photos for the web using Adobe Photoshop. Created Google map featuring about 90 waterski retailers for Waterskimag.com. Designed e-newsletter that was sent to more than 80,000 readers. Managed magazine’s social networking websites. Tweeted live from DEMA 2009, international trade show for diving, water sports and travel industries. Helped increase Twitter followers by 400 and we were added to almost 50 lists. Helped increase Sport Diver’s Facebook friends and fans each by about 1,000 people.

Assisted content producers with interviews and camera equipment during shoots for WNBC. Wrote scripts for the evening newscasts for WNBC.
Performed extensive video editing with Dalet software. Chose and uploaded content to be featured on website, nbcnewyork.com. Maintained a catalog of all content for New York Nonstop. Created weekly list of local events to be featured on New York Nonstop. Helped coordinate the Video Voter Guide, which aired on New York Nonstop and NY1 during 2009 election season in N.Y.
