Spent 18 months reporting on Columbia University’s decades-long cover-up of sexual abuse by an OB-GYN. The story, also published as a podcast, resulted in student protests and a campaign to hold Columbia accountable.
Reported on the lack of transparency around federal COVID-19 funding; felony disenfranchisement among communities of color during the 2022 election; and Instagram scams, resulting in Meta disabling hundreds of fraudulent accounts.
Did media appearances on MSNBC, Democracy Now!, Cheddar and other national and local shows to promote published work.

Used public records to report on how local health agencies were responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stories published in CalMatters, Detroit Free Press, the Fresno Bee.

Pitched the story that became the focus of a seven-part investigation, produced by an international consortium of journalists, about the criminal networks facilitating illegal timber trafficking in the Amazon rainforest.
Developed sources, tracked trade data, filed public records requests, examined Peruvian forestry documents and backgrounded importers and exporters.
